Original area shopping mall redeveloped as a community health, wellness and education center.
Formerly the Beloit Mall, the Eclipse Center is a mixed-use development now serving as as a community health, wellness and education center. Set on 30-acres on a bluff overlooking Riverside Drive (US-51) and the Rock River, the 400,000 SF Beloit Mall was the first major shopping center in Rock County. The mall opened in 1966 with a Sears store, JCPenney, Bergner's, Kohl's Foods, Woolworth's, and Walgreens. Today, the complex is home to the Beloit Public Library, several Rock County government offices, a convention center, and the state's newest public charter school, The Lincoln Academy.
