This 100-year-old building belonged to a neighboring manufacturing company and sat empty and dilapidated for nearly 50 years. HDG bought the building and rehabilitated the 65,000 sq. ft. structure in part with Brownfield grant monies. Ultimately, in 2000, Cotta Transmission Company LLC signed a lease with HDG to move to Beloit and relocated 70 Cotta employees into the newly renovated property which became a reality after much effort in a terrific public/private partnership with local government officials and members of Hendricks Development Group. The nearly $4 million building rehab resulted in significant added tax revenues for the city of Beloit.
