Vision Beloit is the showcase for the ideas, plans, and goals which continue to drive the momentum of the amazing resurgence that has been occurring for the past 20 years in Greater Beloit. Tenants of Vision Beloit are the 4 not-for-profit agencies who are primary marketers for Beloit: Visit Beloit, Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, Greater Beloit Economic Development Corp., and Downtown Beloit Association. Now residing under one roof, these organizations can best strategize and execute the plans and visions for the Greater Beloit community while meeting the public's informational needs when visitors frequent the facility.
This $1 Million redevelopment project was driven by Beloit 2020 and was completed with substantial public and private investment. It is a restoration and adaptive re-use of a historic 30,000 sq. ft. building most recently occupied by Wisconsin Power and Light Co. The transformation of this 80-year-old, 3-story, vacant building into a vibrant central hub and primary marketing tool in promoting Beloit was completed in December 2007. The floor-to-ceiling picture windows allow for natural daylight and optimum visibility of the vibrant, lively, colorful, and inviting showroom which displays numerous photos and rolling video of Beloit's many attractions. Vision Beloit also houses an attractive meeting place in it’s 600 sq. ft. Idea Center conference room - a regular meeting place for economic development and municipal officials, potential investors, business and board meetings, realtors, and civic groups. The combination of historic restoration and contemporary amenities lend to the setting which is a tangible link to the past while showcasing to the public the new window and vision of opportunity for Beloit’s future.
